Transfer to the venue

Group shuttle — included
Group shuttle from San José to Puerto Viejo. The journey takes several hours; Marine confirms the timing and meeting point with you.

If the group transfer does not suit your flight, ask Marine about alternatives and costs before booking.
What to bring
- Light, comfortable clothes to practise in
- A light jumper for the evenings
- Swimsuit, sandals, walking shoes
- Sun protection and natural insect repellent
- A water bottle
- Something to write with, if you like
Mats, blocks, straps, cushions and blankets are provided. No need to bring your own equipment.
Health & insurance
Check official entry and health guidance for your nationality and itinerary. Travel insurance including cancellation and repatriation is requested; check its coverage. Discuss any practice adaptations you need with Marine.
Climate
Expect warm, humid tropical conditions and possible rain. Check the forecast before departure and pack light layers and rain protection.
Money & connectivity
The local currency is the Costa Rican colón. Ask Marine about local payment options, cash needs and Wi-Fi arrangements.

Costa Rica stays on UTC−6 throughout the year. Your time difference may change with daylight saving; check times for your travel dates.
